Leaving the past in the past sometimes requires a bit of a “ride” through it. There’s no glazing over the fact that it can be difficult and even after I get through it, sometimes it sneaks back up on me. Even happy things can trigger the feeling of something from the past into my body now. With help, I’ve learned to steady myself, get my balance, re-orient to the present, and roll on! It takes some focus and self-love to do it. And it sure is wonderful to have support along the way.
